MAPEI Grinding Aid /C
Pack set inhibitors for cement
Description
MA.G.A./C is a high-efficiency grinding additive, normally used for increasing the mill output and improving the quality of the ground materials (granulometry and dry flowability). This concentrated additive is based on accurately selected raw materials in order to guarantee constant quality and high performance.
Characteristics
MA.G.A./C, thanks to its polar nature, notably reduces the attraction forces of ground particles, which are the main cause of agglomeration inside the mills (pack-set). The disappearance or the remarkable reduction of pack-set phenomena, favourably modifies the granulometric curve of the finished product and allows the desired fineness level to be obtained. Moreover, dry flowability is improved.
MA.G.A./C is suitable for all types of raw materials and mills, but better results are obtained when used in tubular mills grinding dry materials.
Utilisation
MA.G.A./C can be successfully employed in all cases of pack-set (not due to humidity) inside tubular mills, particularly during grinding of raw meal, limestone (not for special applications like controlled dielectric constant or food grade) and various minerals. Mill output increases may vary generally between 3% and 15%, depending on the fineness, the available grinding system, the mineralogical composition, the additive dosage etc.
Note: when grinding limestone for special applications or food grade, please refer to the specific additives available in the MA.G.A./C family.
Chemical-physical data
Please refer to the appropriate Safety Data Sheets.
Dosage: 0,3-1,0 kg/t
We recommend the higher dosage threshold in case of high fineness. The additive dosage, in any case, has to be optimised through a reliable industrial trial, preferably with the help of our Technical Assistance Group. The correct dosing point of MA.G.A./C must be determined for every specific grinding system. Generally speaking, the additive should be added directly on the material on the feeding conveyor belt.
Packaging
MA.G.A./C is available in 1.000 litre IBC tanks and in bulk tank trucks.
Storage
The additive must be stored at a temperature above 2°C. In normal conditions MA.G.A./C shelf life is at least 24 months
Technical assistance
The technicians of our Technical Assistance Group are at full disposal of the customers in order to optimise the grinding circuit and the additive dosage during industrial trials.
Safety instructions
During the usage of MA.G.A./C it is recommended to respect the usual rules of industrial hygiene and manipulation of chemical products. For further information, please refer to the Safety Data Sheet. PRODUCT FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY.
